Operated by the Grand Teton Lodge Company, Jackson Lake Lodge is the largest of the Grand Teton National Park properties, with 385 rooms and cottages from which to choose. The full-service hotel features suites in the main lodge and cottage rooms scattered across the resort. It also features fine dining, retail shops, a playground, a swimming pool and even an exhibit featuring Native American artifacts and Western art. Cottages can sleep three to five guests, while lodge rooms and suites can accommodate four. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the Mural Room, which offers kids’ menus and panoramic views of the Teton Range. For a more casual setting, breakfast, lunch and dinner are also provided in the 50s-style Pioneer Grill. Lunch bites can also be found at the Blue Heron, and you can grab BBQ poolside at the Pool BBQ or Pool Side CafÃ©.

Obnoxious!

We stopped at the lodge around 1:30 p.m. We were hoping to have lunch but the dining room was closed. The woman at the front desk was stunningly rude! They have a small gift shop but it only has chocolate. We were very hungry and asked if there is ANY food nearby. She huffed and rolled her eyes and said we would have to drive by to Moose. We found out later that day there is TONS of food close by at the Jenny Lake visitor’s center. Maybe it was because we weren’t guests of the lodge but I could not believe how unfriendly the Lodge staff were (both women we encountered). I also heard the desk person be rude and dismissive to someone who was checking in!

Return year after year

If you want to stay in the heart of Grand Teton National Park, have a log cabin experience with all the amenities, and enjoy gourmet meals onsite, Jenny Lake Lodge is for you. It is a well maintained property with outstanding staff. We return in late September every year and stay for a full week. Unlike the other in-park accommodations, Jenny Lake Lodge is quiet and serene...no busloads of visitors. Bikes are provided to overnight guests and horseback riding through park trails is available.
