I usually spend a few nights in Salida while visiting Colorado both in springtime and fall. For the first time I've opted for the Silver Ridge Lodge during the month of october 2019 and I reckon that from now on it'll be my first option in town. Actually, after the first two nights I decided to get back a few days later for two more. This motel is probably dating back to the 60's and it offers that sort of golden age feeling so nice to experience nowadays. This fact however musn't be misleading : all the premises are very well kept and all modern comforts are available. My room was impeccably clean and roomy, the bed definitely comfortable, hot water ready available, tv offers abundant, wi fi strong and the shower had the best plate ever found in 30 years. The fridge and microwave modern and neat. The location is excellent, very close to downtown and the rate one of the best in town. I had the chance to deal with several members of the staff and I praise their kindness and professionalism as well as that there's always somebody on duty h 24. Guests are offered from 7 to 9 continental breakfast, maybe somewhat basic but still better than in other places. Will I return to the Silver Ridge? Yes, without any doubt. Will I advice it a friend ? Yes, without any doubt.

Don't pass this little place up! This is a locally owned motel, and Justin and Sylvia are great hosts and the rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We got a great rate for 2 Queen beds for 2 nights. Right across Highway 50 from the Salida Hot Springs pool. Gas station and restaurant nearby.
