After arriving at the secluded private island by seaplane, guests will be shown to their over the water bungalows by the resort’s courteous staff. The guestrooms can accommodate three adults and one child, with cribs provided for the tiniest of travelers. Each bungalow features comfortable bedding, air-conditioning, a minibar, and an electric kettle. Families can dive straight from their balcony into the turquoise lagoon waters. A library and spa treatments give guests a chance to relax, and snorkeling, diving and fishing excursions can be arranged through the front desk. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning, and the resort’s onsite restaurant serves both local and international dishes.

Visited at the end of August/ beginning September. In one of the older water villas. Not the best water villa we have had over the many visits to other Maldives islands but still nice. Little privacy on the outside as others walking past can see you. Also there are large windows which overlook each other so you can see into each other’s bedrooms.

Great food as usual in these resorts and the staff are superb. A couple of bars but our favourite was the sundowner bar. As it’s name suggests, it faces out to sea and the sunset. Get there early as its very popular

One thing we discovered that was a real and pleasant surprise, the walk from our villa to the restaurant went through an area which was full of budgerigars. A wonderful sight.

The downsides were noisy Chinese holiday makers. Not all I might add but they do tend to take over at times. One time they were using the life rings on the walkway to the sundowner bar (just past our villa) as swimming aids. Comical really but no concern for others.

Some of the wooden supports on the water villas are very badly rotted (see photos).

Overall I’d say it was a great place and would visit again as the coral and the fish are amazing

Relax and Calm Atmosphere

Angaga island is really nice place. You will enjoy calm atmosphere and stay away from your busy days. Many water activities are available on site but ofcourse it depends on the weather. We spent few times snorkel on the island with few baby shark around us. it was really nice experiences. If you like snorkel then it is recommended to go slightly in the middle of Indian ocean with Angaga staff. A bit dissapointed when we couldn't see soft coral with soft tentacle, most of the reef here are hard coral.
The staff are nice and very helpful. Overall we are happy to spent our break time on this island.
