We travelled 1st week of November on a BA package deal including a car hire. It was a good deal all in. We had bought a standard room but upgraded to a suite direct with the hotel. Still a good deal. The suite is the best. You get a kitchen & lounge area with a big balcony on 1 floor the we had a huge downstairs bedroom and bathroom on a lower level. Again with the same size balcony. Loads of space. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. A little tired but nothing that is any issue. The only thing to bear in mind is the steep hill up to the apartments. It takes a few minutes of exercise to walk up the little access road. Okay if you are fit and able. There are connecting doors to the apartments next door( they are in blocks of 3) we didn’t have anyone either side but I can believe you could hear people in them if we had had neighbours. There is no restaurant but we ate in the room/apartment or literally over the road on the jetty. There are 3 bar/restaurants of varying levels of price and what they serve. Skulduggery bar is great for reasonably drinks & basic food. Sea Breeze does drinks, pizzas & a good breakfast. Cloggys upstairs is not to be missed. Great food. Great position and views across the bay. The staff are helpful. Overall it’s a very good place to stay & we will be back there again. I have rated noise as average. We didn’t have any noise problems but I could see that you might have some from the neighboring apartments through the connecting doors if the place was fully booked.
If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is it. My two friends and I stayed here for one night and loved the area! Great restaurants and the marina view is beautiful. We were dropped off to our room via golf cart and all of our luggage was brought up by a bell hop. This property is on a steep hill so I would not recommend for someone with physical limitations or who is handicap. Only wish they had room service since everything in the area closes pretty early.
