Set in the Greektown district, the Athenum is an all-suite hotel ideal for families who want sophistication and comfort. The elegant suites feature complimentary Wi-Fi, refrigerators, coffee makers, and marble bathrooms with luxurious deep tubs or whirlpools. The hotel is only steps away from Greektown’s fantastic restaurants, so you can sample a variety of cuisines. Also, to make your stay convenient, shuttle service is offered within a five-mile radius, so you may not have to worry about renting a car or finding parking. Note, however, that there is no pool or amenities specifically for younger kids.

Fantastic Place to Stay

The entire staff was exceptional from the front desk to the doorman to the shuttle driver to the bar service staff. Loved that there was free shuttle service to the Fox Theater (we saw Joe Bonamassa) and that three shuttles were available. Our shuttle driver Tony rocked! And shout outs to bartenders Ramon and Angie as well. Room was spacious and comfortable. A really great stay.

I was here for a conference at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and nice! I really liked the tub- its large amd great for a nice relaxing soak. The wifi worked well. Overall staff good.i would ask for a higher floor for a nice view.
