Seaside Atlantica Oak Island Resort abounds with amenities for families, including a spa, onsite restaurant, 105 guestrooms, 13 oceanfront chalets and three seaside villas. Families will find indoor and outdoor pools, a full fitness center, tennis court, mini-golf course and free Wi-Fi. The full-service onsite La Vista Restaurant includes a kids’ menu and serves kids under 5 for free. The Fireside Lounge serves lighter fare and drinks, and offers live entertainment. Family-friendly activities include scheduled children’s activities, kayaking and bike rentals at the Marina, horse shoes, basketball and bonfires. Glamping retreats are also offered.

The Classic Guestrooms include one king, two queens, one queen, or two doubles. The Junior Suite features an oversized room with two queen beds and sofa bed, and One-Bedroom Suites offer a separate bedroom, plus sofa bed. Extended Stay apartments include a kitchen, and the Chalets and Villas offer extra bedrooms, full kitchens, dining areas and grills.

Murder mystery weekend

Had such a great weekend! The room, food, staff were excellent. The murder mystery cast put on a fantastic performance. The activities and dinner/dance were a great hit. Would definitely do it again. A special thank you to Jason, the bartender in the lounge!

Murder Mystery Flop

We went for the murder mystery weekend with friends. We did have fun because we were in a group however, the murder mystery aspect was terrible. I expected there to be some clues but instead we got what felt like a high school talent show with terrible acting and zero clues. There was absolutely nothing murder mystery about this weekend. Nothing. The time with friends was great, the activities were fun, but the presentation and acting was nothing short of painful. There is no one I would recommend this to. It was such a waste of money. I really expected to have clues that build up but by the end we still hadn't been given 1 single clue which meant you just had to take a stab in the dark. The overall hotel was great, it was the event that was just terrible.
