Armstrong Redwood State Reserve

It’s not the Redwood Forest, but it still is a redwood forest filled with towering and ancient California redwood trees. Visit this natural reserve and hike beneath the trees on a 9-mile series of trails that are paved and unpaved, easy or more difficult. The reserve has a visitor’s center, picnic areas, grills and restrooms. Parking is $8 (cash).
