Yes, you can go for a ride in a submarine! Grand Cayman is home to the world’s first commercial passenger submarine, which opened in 1986.

Take a short boat ride out to the submarine, then climb aboard to view underwater wonders without getting wet, a boon for young kids (and adults) not comfortable with swimming in open water. As the Atlantis XI submarine descends to depths of 100 feet, watch scores of rainbow-colored tropical fish through your porthole.

Glass-bottom boat tours on the Seaworld Discovery are also offered with Atlantis Submarines.

Age Restrictions
Passengers must be at least 4 years of age or three feet tall to join in the fun.

Hours
Both day and nighttime tours are available. Tip: Go for the day tour, as fish are more active on the reef during that time. Advance reservations are a must.
