This Scottish-style castle was built in the early 1900s on Pollepel Island in the Hudson River. A shuttle takes visitors for a guided tour around the residence, castle and restored gardens from Newburgh and Beacon, New York, on Saturday and Sundays, May through October. Hiking trails are also on the island. Shuttle reservations are required, and sell out quickly. Located just 50 miles north of New York City.
