Brimstone Hill

A must-visit, Brimstone Hill is a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring an 800-foot-high fort. Constructed by the British, the was considered “The Gibraltar of the West Indies” and saw battle between the British and French in the late 1600s and 1700s until the Treaty of Paris return St. Kitts and Nevis to British govern. Queen Elizabeth II made Brimstone Hill and National Park in 1985, and to this day it remains one of the most visited sites on the islands. Today, visit the fort for spectacular views of the neighboring islands and expansive views of the Caribbean and Atlantic waters.
