Being on the water of course means a large selection of beaches to sample during a family vacation. Good Harbor Beach is one of our favorites, especially at low tide when we can walk out to Salt Island and kids can dig for mussels. When the tide is in, the water is typically calm enough for little ones. Wingaersheek Beach in Ipswich Bay is another calm beach with fewer waves and is a super soft sandy beach. Niles Beach provides great views of Boston in the distance, while Long Beach provides views of the twin lighthouses. Visit Singing Beach in Manchester-by-the-sea to listen to the sand “sing” with the wind.
