Admittedly, this place is not for everyone. However, if you have kids who like creepy, crawly things or if you’re trying to teach a few more earth science lessons on your own, there’s nothing like a building filled with snakes to do it. Operated by a professional herpetologist, the museum has about 40 venomous snakes, a number of lizards and crocodiles.

It’s a seriously well-done museum — as solid as any zoo you’ll visit — and certainly a memorable experience for everyone in the family.
