One of the five Finger Lakes, Cayuga Lake is close to Ithaca. Drive along the lake for awe-inspiring views, or get out and go swimming or boating. A hike to Taughannock Falls is another highlight, as are the many wineries (most of which welcome kids) that surround the lake and afford more gorgeous views.
