Stretching for half a mile and shaped – you guessed it! – like an elbow, this is a nice, quiet beach (except during spring break) where families can relax, build sand castles, and enjoy swimming in the shallow surf. The views are picturesque, with fine sand, clear water, and a wide-open sky. Be aware that there are no lifeguards, so even though the water is gentle, you’ll have to keep an eye on the kids. You can stop in for lunch or dinner at one of the nearby beach hotels, or at Mickey’s Beach Bistro & Bar, located right on the sand!
