One of the more popular beaches on the Big Island, Hapuna Beach — a long and wide stretch of white sand — is also reputed to be one of the world’s top ten most beautiful beaches. The turquoise waters beckon swimmers, body-surfers, and boogey-boarders. The snorkeling here, however, is not the best. This extremely family-friendly beach boasts some shady picnic spots.
