Let the kids be cowboys for a couple hours at Hitchin’ Post Stables, which offers trail rides through the Coconino National Forest, followed up by a “cowboy meal” (burgers/hotdogs, baked beans, etc). You can customize the length of your ride–from just one hour to almost a full day–and the guides are friendly and helpful. Those who aren’t interested in horseback riding (or are too young to do it) can take to the trails in a covered wagon instead.
