The wide sandy beaches of Lewes Beach feature the calm waters of the Delaware Bay, which is great for younger children. Kids will love playing beach volleyball or having a bonfire at the beach after dark. Bonfire permits are required. Lewes Beach is located outside Cape Henlopen. Lifeguards man the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Families will find large restrooms in the parking lot area.

A snack shack can be found at the beach at the Lions Club.

Parking
There are parking lots at the beach and meters are in effect from May 1 through Sept. 30. Change machines are available and credit cards are accepted at the meters.
