What began as a showcase of WWII aircraft and memorabilia in the 1990s has expanded to the size of an airplane hangar and larger. The Lake Erie Shores and Islands relied heavily on aviation through the years so a museum of that history is only fitting. The working restoration museum houses several aircraft and war vehicles like a WWII PT boat. Families will find Clark Gable’s WWII officer’s uniform, along with original uniforms from the Hogan’s Heroes collection.
The exhibits are housed in two different buildings that are situated next to each other on the Erie-Ottawa Airport grounds. Several special events and flight experiences take place in the spring and summer, so be sure to check the schedule online.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Cost
$10 adult, $8 for children 6 and older and free for children under 5 years old.
