Explore President Abraham Lincoln’s final resting place where families can walk through the burial chamber and behind the tomb to see the public vault where his funeral took place. Lincoln’s wife, Mary, and three of their four sons are buried alongside him.

Inquire in advance and a guided tour may be available. Or, visit on a Tuesday night in the summer, and witness Civil War drills and a flag lowering ceremony. And don’t forget to rub Lincoln’s nose on the statue that sits in front of the tomb. It’s said to bring good luck and judging by the bronze discoloration of his nose, Lincoln presumably has brought numerous people from around the world good luck.
