There are 365 beaches in Antigua, so unless you have a full year to devote to the project, odds are you’ll only hit a handful of the powder-soft sandy stretches along the island. Long Bay Beach is a standout, with talcum-powder sand, seaglass-hued and extremely placid water along the shore, and an excellent set of reefs close enough to the beach for beginning snorkelers to test their skills. You can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs, and retreat to the on-beach restaurant for a little refreshment.
