While winter is all about the skiing, the mountain is hardly dormant during the winters months. This state park, open from May to September, offers trails carved into the side of the mountain up to North Peak, South Peak, and the Summit, which commands a truly glorious view of the lake below and vistas of Vermont’s Green Mountains from Mount Snow to Killington. A small campground has a beach for swimming.
