Safari Off Road Adventure

Safari Off Road Adventure

1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson, NJ

In 2013, Six Flags Great Adventure became the world’s largest theme park, measured by acreage, when it opened the 350-acre Safari Off Road Adventure. The company revitalized a neighboring attraction, Wild Safari, creating an off-road truck expedition experience through an animal preserve that is home to 1,200 animals from six continents, including elephants, rhinos, tigers, giraffes, and lions.

Guests enter the fictional world of the Wilds Family, beginning their journey in a rustic loading station, where they board an open-air Safari vehicle. The narrated excursion brings guests within close proximity to the animals, who roam freely. At Camp Aventura, the main stop, more animals are exhibited in smaller habitats, including exotic birds and reptiles. A two-seater zip-line ride is available here for an additional fee.
