With an extensive stretch of calm, shallow water and lots of available shade from trees dotting the coastline, Shelly Bay is ideal for families with novice swimmers. Kids will love the mangrove tidal pool along the beach, and they’ll enjoy seeing many different species of birds. Check out the adjoining park, which features climbing frames, swings and picnic tables. Stroll along the boardwalk on the western side of the beach, which winds through a small nature reserve.
