Located in Marathon, Fla., Sombrero Beach is one the Florida Keys’ best-kept secrets, and one that is particularly perfect for families. It has plenty of shaded areas, a playground, showers, restrooms and free parking (which is quite close to the water). And the best part is that it’s secluded and quiet — you won’t find the masses here. The water is shallow, too, and your children — and you — will have the chance to swim with schools of colorful fish. The beach is also pet friendly.
