For a day hike into the canyon, the South Kaibab Trail runs along an exposed ridgeline on a well-maintained trail. To reach the trail, ride the Kaibab/Rim Route shuttle or Hiker’s Express shuttle. The easiest of the hikes is the 1.8-mile, round-trip hike to Ooh Aah Point. The longest trail is a difficult climb that last up to six hours to Skeleton Point. The six-mile trail is not recommended during afternoon sun.
