In the winter, the 4,000-acre Squaw Valley after a good storm is a slice of heaven for skiers and snowboarders, being one of the largest ski resorts in the U.S. In the summer, it’s transformed into an adventure wonderland, with hiking, biking, and more. Year-round, the Aerial Tram is a popular attraction; it carts its riders to High Camp (elevation 8,200 feet), from where the views are unbelievable.
