Step into the 18th century at this living history museum that many people compare to Colonial Williamsburg. Located on the grounds of a former manor house (think the Welsh version of Downton Abbey), this open air museum has more than 40 buildings original to the landscape and time period. Costumed interpreters demonstrate weaving, clog making and blacksmithing, among other daily chores of the period. Children may feed baby lambs and other farm animals in some of the barns. A number of shops, gardens and restaurants make this a full day experience. Admission is free for everyone in the family, although there is a small parking fee.
