The 500-year-old lava tube is a lava-made cave through the rain forest. The heat and speed of the lava created a tunnel in which the lava flowed, creating a tube that is now available for exploration. Walk a steep set of stairs into the rainforest to enter the tube, which was discovered in 1913. The tube is lit from inside, but small children may get nervous walking into what is essentially a cave.
