It doesn’t have the same soft, white sand as Crescent Beach, but its coarser, darker mocha-colored sand makes it less mobbed. For tots, there’s a covered playground and more seashells and shark teeth fossils than you’d find to the north. Older ones may want to rent a kayak or paddleboard to navigate the lagoon that makes this south-end park a peninsula. Fishing is also popular here. Restaurants are an easy walk away.
