One of the best ways to appreciate the harbor is through a narrated boat tour that includes a trip below the aerial lift bridge and out onto the lake with views of the city from Lake Superior. Express tours of 45 minutes are best for young kids or a pizza cruise that’s an hour and 15 minutes. Older kids might enjoy a longer cruise (close to two hours) or the splurge of a dinner or brunch tour.

Tours run the end of April through late October.
