TripAdvisor Rating

This resort is located on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Located on a private beach, rooms at Bahia Principe are brightly colored with comfy bedding and wood accents. Rooms have ceiling fans and are equipped with color televisions, safes, refrigerators and mini-bars. One of the top highlights of Bahia Principe is the dining. There are seven restaurants and nine bars onsite. A variety of cuisines can be found, including Italian, Mediterranean and Tex-Mex. Children’s menus are available. All-inclusive rates cover three a la carte dinners per week and a variety of children’s activities. The resort’s beach is three-miles long and only for guests to use. Waves are gentle enough for little kids, as the cove is sheltered by the coral reef. The grounds are fun to explore, showcasing a variety of mangrove plants. Families can walk the paths in the gardens. Three pools are popular with families at the resort. Organized activities, such as sports or area tours, are provided by Bahia Principe. Parents may want to use the babysitting service or drop the children off at one of the daily, planned activities and visit the beachfront spa. Meanwhile, while meeting new friends, children can take dance classes or go on a treasure hunt.

My family. Husband 8 year old and myself went to San Juan. We have travelled to almost every other bahia. This one was one of the first built so obviously its outdated. I've never wrote a review before but I couldn't help myself
Food was ok but I didnt like that the restaurants were not enclosed so at night sitting near the edges of the restaurants we were getting bite by all kinds of bugs

First time getting attacked by noseeums. Black flies on the beach

Beach was dirty. I wouldnt let my sun play there.

Room were very spacious but falling apart.

Lots of old falling apart furniture

Main door lock didnt work at all. Took 3 days to fix it. Bathroom door also didnt shut.

Try bahia principe in Jamaica. Samana. And Punta cana. Nicer beaches. And with kids. Fantasia in Punta cana is the best hotel I've been to
