Barcelo is a very modern hotel, from its avant-garde design to the shiny, steel slide down to the first floor lobby. It’s quirky and charming and conveniently located next to the train station and a shopping mall with multiple eateries. The rooms are spacious for an urban hotel and offer amenities like a pillow menu.

Families will enjoy their 2×2 Family Plan of connecting rooms. There’s a parking lot for your car, a gym, sauna, two restaurants and two bars. Enjoy a rotating seasonal menu and inventive cocktails at the lounge or indulge in the guide service, which helps you explore the best of Malaga art, gastronomy, music, culture and fashion with you.

An exceptional 4 star hotel

A small inconvenience is the distance from the hotel to the historic center and main beech and marina, but there is a good number 3 bus service, which we used. However, the hotel's location has the advantage of being adjacent to a very modern rail station and shopping mall with cinemas.The hotel's famous breakfast in this hotel is very special in its range and quality.

We arrived late, check in was quick and friendly, we were booked in to a junior suite, which was large comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was fantastic, I think it was the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel. The rooftop pool area was nice and relaxing. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre but its easy to get a taxi or a bus from right outside. It's located next to the train and bus
stationd so it's convenient for day trips. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
