Overall being able to stay within the compounds of the village was a nice experience. The bed was very high and hard to get in and out of but very comfortable. The bathroom on the small side but adequate for out three day stay. My husband adjusted to the limited space between the toilet and bumping up against the tub while using the facilities. Spacious room with two comfortable chairs a desk and fridge.

My husband and I have been visiting Colonial Williamsburg for years but this was our first experience staying on property. As a history buff, this was everything I hoped for. We stayed in a 300 year old inn that once hosted Thomas Jefferson. The rooms were true to the period - with the addition of a TV, a full bath, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker. We stepped outside into the villiage. We could watch the band marching, and hear cannon fire. It was amazing! We went to celebrate my husbands birthday, but hope to return with the kids. If you want modern day amenities, sleek furniture, and sound proof rooms, this is not for you. At least 4 people on my floor were snoring and I heard all of them.
