This recently renovated Comfort Inn features most of the things families look for in a hotel: clean rooms and suites, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary hot breakfast with continental items as well as eggs, waffles, and meat. All rooms feature microwaves and coffee makers, and certain suites also offer refrigerators, so you can whip up very basic meals or at least store cold drinks or yogurt. If you’d like a relaxing hot tub bath, book a unit with a whirlpool, and if your family needs extra sleeping space, look for a room with a sleeper sofas. Although there is no pool, the property is located a block from the beach, so you can easily walk there.

This hotel is NOT KID/FAMILY FRIENDLY!

I am currently staying at this Comfort Inn hotel in Newport, OR. The front desk staff member who checked us in this evening, has now called my room and also came to my room, to tell my family that we are being too loud. We were literally sharing stories and laughing, no jumping, screaming or rambunctious activity involved. She further stated that (with no comment from any person in the room) all of the hotels in the area are fully booked and if she receives one more complaint, that we will be kicked out. I have NEVER been more embarrassed. Are you kidding me?! Who does that? It was only 9:00 pm, so maybe it’s whisper time after 9:00? I booked the room due to the “Family Friendly” reviews. I promise you that this hotel is in fact NOT a family friendly establishment!

Excellent Hotel in walking distance to beach

Well above my expectations for a Comfort Inn. The rooms and lobby were attractive and everything worked. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The bedding was excellent and cookies was served. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and really no hotel is very close to the waves. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again if I'm in the area.
