The place is great & near union square but away from the noise & tourist. Charming rooms, lovely staff, great restaurant. Loved it & will stay there again for sure. Free coffee, tea & home made cookies in the afternoon

The Cornell is an older hotel in a location centrally located near several landmarks. It's a smaller hotel, though they do a lot with the limited space they have. Our room was a deluxe queen. Bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious. Because the walls are older, you may hear some errant sounds from other rooms, so I recommend bringing earplugs. We did, and slept soundly both nights we were there. We opted for a breakfast package, which was worth it. You won't leave hungry.

If you're driving, they have a deal with the parking lot across the street. Although it's not cheap - really no parking is in San Fran - you'll still end up saving a few bucks.

Service was excellent. Entire hotel was clean. Would definitely stay here again!
