The Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, Rome offers standard rooms with the choice of one king or two queens. King suites give more square footage, a pullout sofa, and two flat-screen TVs. All rooms have a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker.

The property has an outdoor pool (open seasonally) and a fitness room. Complimentary is a hot breakfast each morning, Wi-Fi, and parking. Coin-operated laundry is available. The Country Inn sits very near the Walmart Superstore and a Waffle House.

Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Rome is 67-miles to Atlanta, 76-miles to Chattanooga, TN, 6.4-miles to Berry College, 4.7-miles to the Chieftains Museum, 3.5-miles to the Clock Tower in Rome, and 5.3-miles to catch a Rome Braves game (at State Mutual Stadium). DONE.

Friendly and helpful staff

Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a king-size bed that was comfortable. The only minor issues I experienced was a very dusty laundry room (I cleaned it), and a bathroom outlet that didn't hold the plug of my electric razor.

The location worked fine for me as I didn't need to be right on top of my destinations. Stores and restaurants all within a short distance.

P.S. I ordered pizza one night from a local place, Gondalier's - good pizza!

Racing trip

Very clean. Staff was wonderful and attentive. Motel a little dated but adequate. Very nice atmosphere. We had a problem with the TV and they moved us to a nice room on same floor. The motel staff was great. Will stay there again
