My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Homewood Alabama in Octobeer 2019. We were visiting from Pittsburgh, PA to attend the Eric Church concert in Birmingham. The surrounding area was very nice and offered plenty of options for dining and shopping. The hotel itself was nice and clean. The staff was very nice and accommodating. My main complaint was the price. The hotel price was extremely overpriced probably inflated due to the concert and another event in the area that weekend. I would expect a free breakfast for that price but we ended up purchasing breakfast at the cafe in the hotel which was also overpriced in my opinion.

I’m appalled at the rude, hostile, and abusive treatment by management and certain staff members. I can’t imagine what has happened to hospitality, much less kindness and human decency. My recent stays at Marriott have proven that this is no longer a reliable brand, and neither management nor customer care actually cares about their guests.
