Our grandson was having surgery at Texas Childrens Hospital, for the 3rd time in a year. We'd stayed at this particular hotel both the previous times, and it was ok. We like the location and the fact that there is a shuttle to the hospital.
But, if our grandson has to have any further surgeries, we will definitely find another hotel. The first time we stayed, we didn't like that the location of the TV was not convenient for watching from the bed. When you get back to the room from a long day at the hospital, you want to relax and watch TV and get your mind off the stress of the day. But the TV is not convenient for doing so.
This time, we arrived, and almost immediately left the hotel to meet friends for dinner. When we came back, it was late; I wanted to take a nice hot bath and relax before the all day hospital stay the next day. I filled the tub with hot water, got in, and suddenly there were paint chips floating all around me! Not one or two, but dozens! I got out and they were even stuck to the bottom of my feet! So I ended up taking a shower, which wasn't much better. The shower head was so corroded only about half the holes were open enough to have water flow through them.
I finally finished and layed down in the bed only to look up and find the ceiling looked like it was about to cave in on us!
No, I didn't contact anyone; it was late and we had to get up at 5AM to catch the 6AM shuttle to the hospital. We were at the hospital the next day until 8PM, and we left the next morning.
Unless you check their website and see that they have recently done a complete renovation....stay somewhere else!!

Great location, very near to medical area. The rooms are big, the beds and pillows very comfy. Very clean, the offer free WiFi. The parking cost only 7 dollars and there’s a place to have breakfast with charge. We told the front desk the elevators stink and they send people very fast to clean them..
