Located near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, this chain hotel is also near the Savannah’s Historic District where families can easily find many restaurants and shops. Kids will love being welcomed to the hotel with a complimentary chocolate chip cookie and will have loads of fun at the swimming pool. The fitness center is a great spot for the adults to unwind and stay on top of workouts. The guestrooms and suites feature one king or two queen beds, a mini-fridge, a microwave and complimentary Wi-Fi access, ideal for staying connected to work and home. Additionally, the suites feature a separate sitting area with a sleeper sofa. The bathrooms feature a shower/tub combo. Two-bedroom suites are also available. The onsite restaurant serves lunch and dinner.

Very clean rooms, but had a lot of issues with checking in and out

They were having issues with their system during check in so it took a lot longer than normal and several attempts on the computer with ultimately writing down our info on a piece of paper to get keys to our room. The front desk staff seemed very frustrated, as were we. We also had a surprise charge at the end of our stay. It was from another guest who charged their breakfast tip to our room. They said they’d take care of it (again, took a while to figure that out.) We still have the charge showing on our bank, hopefully it’ll be taken care of soon.

Rude and Arrogant

The woman running the restaurant, and the front desk manager, were as rude and arrogant as we've experienced in many years. We will NEVER stay there again, and I would recommend others steer clear of the SAV Airport DoubleTree
