I stayed at the Driftwood Lodge the night before a local 10k run. Everything was just wonderful. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and very clean (I was in the West Temple building of the hotel). The mini-fridge and microwave were convenient and put to use. The west view out the front door looked out at some of the mountain faces, and the east view out the back door and the little patio looked at even more mountains and peaks. Springdale and Zion can get so very busy but the hotel is right at stop 7 for the free shuttle service making it very convenient to get farther into town or all the way to Zion. I highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed 3 nights at Driftwood Lodge in one of their top price rooms. There is a shuttle stop (#7) just outside so very convenient for visiting Zion Canyon.
Our room was large with lovely views of the mountains. We found it a little cool as the warm air outlet is at ceiling height and the floor was cold.
The grounds are nicely landscaped and the units well spaced out. We were in a two storey block and could hear other guests going up and down the metal staircase.
We thought the high price could be justified better by adding one or two more luxuries, such as underfloor heating in the bathroom. There is a restaurant on site, but it only serves dinner. We thought it a shame that they do not offer breakfast (perhaps up market continental) in the morning.
