My husband, six year old son, and I spent the night of September 11, 2018 here. It’s not far from the bus terminal that we arrived at, and very beautifully decorated.
We got a room with four beds in it for $83.98 US dollars. The beds were comfortable (the mattresses are very firm). The room and bathroom were both very clean.
They did have WiFi but only in the lounge/pool/restaurant area - not in the bedroom.
Breakfast is included in the price and they begin serving at 7am. The gentleman serving breakfast made my husband scrambled eggs with ham. I ate sunny side up eggs, we had avocado, fresh made fruit juices, coffee, and hot chocolate. My son really enjoyed the breakfast too. We spent a lovely night there.
We booked 3 nights here for a last minute bit of relaxation towards the end of our travels around Peru. The hotel itself is very beautiful and the gardens are incredible but the rooms are dated and don’t match the rest of the hotel. The food and staff at the restaurant / bar are attentive, friendly and always on hand. Food is filling and delicious with a lot to pick from the menu. The breakfast being one of the best we’ve had in Peru. The main pulling factor for us to stay at this hotel was the pool setting. We wanted to relax however this was short lived by awkward conventions and large groups of men and woman around the pool or walking past in suits. This is seriously uncomfortable when you’re trying to relax in swimwear and a little off putting. They made me feel very uncomfortable and unable to relax on my holiday here. When they were out of their meetings we chose to sit elsewhere because of it. To put it frank I’m lying in a bikini and a man in a suit is opposite me... very strange. Perhaps there needs to be a divide between customers that are using the space to relax on their holidays and customers that are using the space for meetings or conventions. The two spaces shouldn’t overlap.
