Embassy Suites Houston Downtown is a children-friendly hotel located in Houston. The hotel is perfect if you’re visiting the Cockrell Butterfly Center, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Byzantine Chapel Fresco Museum. This hotel has 362 suites, it also has a babysitting, swimming pool and fitness center. Not what we expected

Gave me wrong room. Someone opened my door at 105am climbing to be housekeeping. Valet took over 30 minutes to bring car each time. Expensive for service received. Location is the only good thing about this hotel.

Very good - can be 5 star with a few tweaks

Had a nice 3 night stay here for a conference at the Convention Center. This hotel is only block away from the convention center - Hilton Americas was actually the "conference hotel" but If given a choice, I'll always pick Embassy Suites!

The valet staff was quick and attentive. For anyone the complains about the cost of valet parking, you should know that $38/night is fair for full in/out privileges and I had no issues paying this.

The front desk clerk didn't give me my welcome amenities as a HH Gold member, they are usually handed to me immediately.

I have a preference for rooms away from the elevator, but I also wanted a high floor, so I ended up on the 16th floor, with a room next to the elevator. Still - I had virtually no hallway noise...

Breakfast and Cocktail reception were 10/10. The breakfast food was excellent! Cocktail reception was also very good - staff worked quickly and wait was minimal.

My only concerns were with room condition. The cocktail table was very scuffed; the cushions on the sofa had stains (and large tears at the seams), the bathroom vent closest to the shower was dirty. Also, I would urge Embassy Suites to get "Smart TVs" in the bedrooms so I could watch Netflix, etc.

Room was huge! Bedroom was very well appointed and bed was comfy.

Hotel is very well-located with lots of nearby dining options - Minute Maid park is only a 4 block walk for anyone who wants to catch the Houston Astros.
