Old World historic charm combined with modern comforts and luxuries are what guests will first notice about the Hotel Epoca in Iquitos. This fully renovated and restored building originally dates back to the early 1900s. The hotel offers an amazing Family Suite that provides plenty of room for up to five to eight guests. Good hotel, good beds, good location

by CcH1971

This hotel nearby the nice restaurants may seem a little run down but to us that didn’t matter. What did matter was the fact that the beds were really good (quite uncommon in Peru), that there was hot running water in the shower and a very well functioning AC in our family room. We were only in Iquitos for one night, as a starting point for our Amazon trip. But this was an excellent choice. The breakfast was really good (eggs, fresh fruit salad, toast and fresh juice). We would stay here again if we would make another trip into the Amazon.

Nice stay before heading to the jungle

by amies480

It was very nice to have the staff waiting for us at the airport. We stayed here one night before heading out on a jungle excursion. Our stay was very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The room had a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. The water in this city comes from the Amazon River. It was fine for bathing and brushing our teeth. They have bottles of water (or beer) you can purchase for a fair price. The Amazon River is directly across the street. You can walk to shops and restaurants easily. Internet in Iquitos is patchy. I would stay here again.
