A worthwhile detour off the Castle Road for families is Tripsdrill, a combination amusement park and wildlife preserve that also has overnight accommodations.

Located in the suburbs of Stuttgart, kids will delight in getting to overnight in a shepherd’s wagon (it looks similar to a gypsy wagon) or a tree house. Mom and dad will appreciate the ease and comfort of not having to camp; you’ll be “glamping” it instead of roughing it. There’s no tent to pitch, nor sleeping bags to roll up — just comfortable beds, electricity, and even a TV. One similarity to camping? No bathrooms.You’ll have to walk across the street to the shared bathrooms.

Theme park for young and old

When visiting my sister in Germany we all decided to go to Tripsdrill. (3 generations). Many rides were enjoyed by us all, however, there were quite a few for the more daring and at the other end of the scale there was a big playground for the younger ones with sandpits, slides, towers etc.
There are many areas where you can sit, enjoy a snack or a drink or simply gather strength for the next part.

Onde of the best places for families!!

We found this place by chance and decided to visit... what a great surprise!!! The amusement park is great for grown ups with many thrill rides but there is also lots of cool options for small kids! Really cool and well built with great ambience for all attractions!
On top there is also the zoo, which several animals and a trail! The animals are nice to see and some even you can feed (or watch them being fed). We went with our 1 year old and we couldn’t have more fun!!
All for 33 Euro!!!
Couldn’t be better!!!
We are definitely buying a year pass!!
