Fairfield Inn Joliet South is a favorite among hotels in Joliet for families and business travelers. The hotel is located off I-80 where guests enjoy access to Chicagoland Speedway, Route 66 Raceway, and Harrah’s and Hollywood Casinos in Joliet. Your family will feel right at home in guestrooms boasting luxurious pillow top mattresses, microwaves and mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, and premium channels on high-definition flat-screen TVs. The whole family will love the free hot breakfast, featuring scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, yogurt, Belgian waffles and sliced fresh fruit. Relax at the end of a long day’s drive or flight with the indoor pool and hot tub.
Close by, Pilcher Park is often said by locals to be the premium attraction in Joliet and you need to bring the family there if you want to get a glimpse of the amazing flora and fauna in this part of Illinois. Aside from its natural beauty, Pilcher Park is also home to the Pilcher Park Nature Center where you will get to see display animals from the region and where you can also learn all about the landscape of Joliet and wider Illinois. Additionally, you can also book a guided tour here with a naturalist who will answer any questions that your family may have.

On our way to Michigan, my husband is a Mariott rewards member so we used one of our rewards and stayed here. The facility needs some considerable improvements! Very run down facility! Not sure how often the floors get vacuumed, lots of dirt and dust around the edges. The bathroom sink was damaged and looked unpleasant. A chair in the room looked to have been chewed on by a dog/missing part of the chair leg. There is a musty smell. The breakfast left a great deal to be desired—expired tasting food, and I’m not hard to please there!
This Fairfield Inn should be reflagged. Not up to Marriott’s standard. Guest rooms at level of a decrepit Super 8. 1st floor had a leak so there was a fan (we weren’t told about it until after we got to our room), elevator not working which is why we requested a bottom floor. Our bathroom began to leak in the middle of the night. And read the fine print...they charged $10 to park.
Shout out to front desk associate Amanda who was kind and helpful to get me into the hotel next door to use the guest laundry. This hotel didn’t have one.
