The hotel invites you to utilize the complimentary fitness center and hot breakfast before heading out to explore the great town and surrounding attractions. A shuttle will happily take you to any main location ranging from Water Country to Strawberry Bunke. It is just as easy to drive into the town and explore it by foot, hitting locations such as Market Square for shopping and historic sightseeing. Another completely different option is to take everyone out to the nearby Hampton beach for the day to soak up some sun and waves. Throughout all of this, you’ll want to replenish your systems with some of Portsmouth’s famous seafood. In the town, you can grab a fantastic seafood dinner overlooking the water at Surf. After a day in the sea-breeze and historic streets, you can easily return to the Fairfield Inn Portsmouth Seacoast to rest and recover, making it the perfect place from which to explore.

We stayed here one night and the staff couldn’t be any nicer!!!
The rooms were a good size, shower was perfect, bed was comfy!
The room decor really could use a bit of updating
( carpet etc)
Complimentary breakfast a plus!!
We checked in at roughly 4:15 PM and were checked in to Room 117. The room is directly behind the reception and was noisy as hell. I could not even get an hour long nap after a tiring 2 hour drive in with all the noise.
When I went to the front desk at 6:00 PM to ask to be moved to a different room, I was asked to wait while they checked in other guests. Fair enough. We waited. I was then told all room were booked for the weekend. I asked about what they could do and they said, unfortunately nothing, since we booked on Hotels.com, instead of their website. We waited around a bit more and saw more guests being checked in with a choice of rooms.
I feel cheated, lied to and worse yet treated unwelcome. NEVER before, NEVER AGAIN. This property has tarnished the Marriott reputation forever.
