Boasting some of the area’s most inexpensive room rates, Forest Dunes Resort is an absolute gem for families who are looking to spend some time in Myrtle Beach without breaking the bank.

And if you want to get far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown without feeling isolated, this resort is perfect. Because the property is surrounded by North Myrtle Beach’s more residential areas, the environment is quieter and more peaceful than many of the area’s other resorts; perfect for families who just want to kick back and relax!

The resort’s 134 rooms are split into one- and three-bedroom condominiums, along with one two-room suite. In-room amenities include a DVD player, full kitchen, coffeemaker and air conditioning, and each room offers superb ocean views.

Families will enjoy the free DVD library at the front desk, as well as access to the resort’s lazy river, indoor and outdoor pools, kiddie pool, and whirlpool. And of course, families are blown away by the miles of beautiful beaches and all of the other local family-friendly attractions, shops and restaurants Myrtle Beach is known for.

In need of a serious update

We have been coming to Forest Dunes for over 15 years and have finally given up on staying here. The rooms are in serious need of updating, my back hurt for days from sitting on the couch which you sunk to the floor, the popcorn ceilings had stuff hanging or bare spots, gave up on getting the television to work even though maintenance came on multiple calls. The cleaning agents used in the room produced such an offensive and lingering order that I actually slept on the balcony to escape it. On the positive side, the staff was extremely polite and accommodating and the location and beach is wonderful.

Nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina !

I have been coming here for 7 years now and never been disappointed. If there is a problem the accommodating staff act swiftly to make it right. We have made several friends, both staff and vacationers, over the years and enjoy seeing them each year upon our return.
The suites we have stayed in , especially the "ocean view" are well appointed and well maintained. Front desk staff and cleaning staff aim to please ! The beach is clean and at your front door ...what could be better ?
All amenities are close at hand ...either a short driving distance or within walking distance.The covered parking garage was perfect I personally recommend Forest Dunes for a fabulous beach adventure.
