Looking for a family-friendly hotel in Watkins Glen, New York? Consider a stay at the Gorgeous View Motel, appropriately named for its jaw-dropping vistas of Seneca Lake, just 1 mile from the property. Head to the lake for fishing, swimming or boating, or hike your way through equally beautiful Watkins Glen State Park. The hotel is also convenient to local ski resorts, you-pick farms, shops and restaurants.

The budget-friendly hotel offers simple, yet comfortable accommodations with one queen or two double beds. All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with mini-fridges, microwaves and coffeemakers, plus free Wi-Fi. They also have flat-screen TVs and shower/tub combos in the bathrooms — making it easy to bathe little ones.

The Gorgeous View Motel is located on about 10 acres of land, with plenty of places to explore on nature walks, play a game of Frisbee, and more.

Two night stay

Room was sufficient and was a place to sleep and shower; first room we looked at Smoke alarm needed batteries so they moved us to another room. Driveway entrance is terrible and not well lit! Friendly staff though; you had to go to check in at the house below

Get-away Fun

The motel was very simple and very clean. Nice and quiet, although at times you can hear the trucks go by which was not a big deal at all. The beds were comfortable with 3 pillows each. The bathroom had 4 shelves to store our toiletries.They could add a couple of towel bars for towels/wash clothes. Some pictures on the walls of the Gorge would dress up the room, at the moment there are none.
Only one drawback: the shower stall is very small, about 26"x28" I roughly measured! I am 5'6" and it was tight. My husband is 6'3". If you are a large person it will be hard for you to shower. That is the only negative. Great price/night. Very friendly owner! Only 1 mile from town.
