You can’t get much closer to the action in Hampton Beach than this venerable hotel just steps to the Casino Ballroom, Funarama Arcade, and Seashell Stage. Families with younger children will appreciate the short schlep to the beach right across the street, while those with older kids will be able to let them loose to all of the fun of the area, confident they’ll have a convenient home base to return to when they get tired of playing video games and gorging on salt water taffy.
The hotel has a number of larger suites for families that sleep up to six people in a range of configurations, including doubles, queens, pull-out sofas, and bunk beds. Furnishings are pretty modest, with platform beds with basic linens, and utilitarian furniture. The suites, do however, contain flat-screen TVs and kitchenette facilities, including a microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and fry pan. Some of the larger apartments include full-size eat-in kitchens, as well as balconies from which you can watch all of the action of the strip.

This property is a absolute gem. We have stayed at many hotels/motels in Hampton Beach and now we will never stay anywhere else. If we do it will be disappointing. Check in, there is a spot to park during check in or you can just unload on the street. Check in was quick and Steve brought us to our apartment to show us around. We had the front apartment that included the entire 2nd floor balcony. The apartment is spacious and it had anything you could need. From pots and pans to coffee maker and toaster. It even had zip lock baggies for left overs. The apartment feels like you are staying at your grandmothers beach house. Absolutely adorable. Sheets and towels were spotless and clean. In fact everything was spotless and clean. In back of the building is a courtyard with grills, patio furniture, a gas heater. Everything was clean and spotless. Even the utensils and grills (leave it how you found it people). It is so close to everything that when I got out of my car when I checked in I didn't get back in it til I checked out. The owners are so accommodating and always available. This is true pride in ownership. Over the long weekend we had 2 other couples check in and they were both so happy that we are all coming back next year. They both stayed in single rooms. They both agree that although they are small they are cozy and clean. Thank you Steve and Michelle for the best 50th Birthday weekend ever.
We had a simple, clean and wonderfully accommodating stay at the Grayhurst. The small hotel is reminiscent of an old fashioned beach vacation. It is VERY close to the beach and the new pavilion. The rooms are small but very clean. Everything you need is made easily available for you from parking to towels to beach supplies! We had a great stay. Thanks Steve!!
