This hotel was recommended by my son who had stayed here for business. Hampton is reliable and this location was superb. i utilized the bike path/hiking trail next to the hotel and ran to the Rappahanock River trail which is great. It is convenient to restaurants and downtown Fredericksburg and shopping. Bedding was very comfortable. Nice breakfast area.
The carpet in my room looked like a murder scene. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but when you arrive exhausted at 10:00PM and find large reddish orange stains on the bedroom carpet you definitely have a bad reaction. Not sure what it was, but it was also smeared on the door leading into the bathroom.
The bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down for the entire cycle. The bath towels were worn out. I don't expect anything plush from a chain hotel, but these need to be tossed. The ones they replenished were worn out too.
